32-bit and 64-bit combination

I believe by now; you already know that a system can come with 32-Bit or 64-Bit capable CPU. Also in the software market, most application software and drivers are developed in 32-

Bit except for the operating system which can be determined on installation depending on the CPU.  

(Check Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista Service Park 2, Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10 for 64-Bit operating system installation).

In the installation of windows vista or windows 7 or windows 8, you are to make a choice between 32-bit version and 64-bit version. That is if you have a 64-bit capable CPU but if it is 32-bit capable CPU, the setup will install 32-bit version of windows automatically or you select it manually i.e. x86 for 32-bit and x64 for 64-bit.

Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 came in two different bit versions; you are to purchase the bit version of your PC CPU whether 32-bit or 64-bit. They are not together in a piece.

32-bit and 64-bit compatibility

1.       64-BIT CPU will run 64-BIT Operating System and Application Software.

2.       64-BIT CPU will run 32-BIT Operating System and Application Software.

3.       32-BIT CPU will not run 64-BIT Operating System and Application Software.

4.       32-BIT drivers are not compatible with 64-BIT Operating System.

5.       64-BIT drivers are also not compatible with 32-BIT Operating System.
